Please visit our webpage for a detailed tutorial on how to use all features in the app: Tutorial Link
No. Study Bunny does not prevent you from using your phone because many students use their phones to supplement their studying. We follow a self-accountability model and recommend you pause your session briefly when you get distracted. The timer will run if the app is in the background.
Alternatively you may use Honesty Mode, which you can turn on in Settings. In this mode you can decide whether or not you were distracted when you return to the app and receive a “punishment” (either losing coins or watching an ad). Please read the tutorial on “How to use Honesty Mode.”
Yes, you must increase your phone's "notifications" volume. You may need to increase your ringtone volume first for this to work. The sound of your notification is based on what you set as your notification sound in phone settings. If your notifications are off but your ringtone is set to vibrate, you will get vibration as your alarm sound.
No. Study Bunny is used by students at all levels - some study a little, some a lot. While item prices vary, most require long term work, which means you should try to save up for expensive items. Having too many inexpensive items increases the file size of the app and clutters the store. We have accomodated this frequent request by rounding up study minutes (e.g. between 5-10 minutes will now get 1 coin instead of the minimum 10) and by increasing coin opportunities through ads for those who do not study as much. Ways to gain extra coins:
Please check the following:
We have decided not to add a sell back feature for items because allowing items to be temporarily owned defeats the purpose of studying to earn more coins.
Yes, it has been translated into 14 languages. You will find this feature in Settings. Please note that while most of the app will be translated, some things will still be in English. For example, the store items will still be in English, however there are pictures with these items and all store items can be previewed. Song listings in the music store and the new item pop up will also be in English. We hope that by translating the more complicated and important features, the app will be easier to use. If you are a native speaker and would like to bring translation errors to our attention, please feel free to email us.
Please visit www.superbyte.site/tutorial if you have any questions about the basic functions of the app. You can translate this site into any language. The app does not support right to left languages for written text.
Due to file size limitations, we cannot add more in-app music, however we have added additional links to study music on our YouTube which we are continuing to update!
We were not granted permission to use the trademarked and patented Pomodoro technique. Instead please use the book and coffee mug buttons on the yellow "Great Work" page to go directly into another study session or break session. You must complete a study session in each mode to set the duration of the timer for future sessions.
There are 15 possible subject color tag options when you set your timer (which we increased from 8 and again from 12 after many requests). While few people have 15 active subjects every month and because we can't infinitely add colors, please reuse colors from past months from subjects that you are not studying anymore. It also helps to ration colors by making your subjects broad instead of specific (e.g. try "Biology" instead of "Read Biology Chapter 4.2")
Yes, you can manually save to the cloud. Click the profile icon to create an account as a new user. Create your login username and password. Once logged in, you can click Cloud Save to save your progress to the account. When you switch to a different device or reinstall the app, login to your account and click Cloud Load. The app does not autosave because if you log into your account on a device with a blank version of the app, your data will automatically be overwritten with blank data. This is why we highly suggest you periodically manually save your data. Be sure that you fully close your app when you are not using it or else you may accidentally lose unsaved data with an update. If you are having errors with cloud save/load, consider upgrading to premium login which can handle more data.
If you forget your account username or password and the hint you created is not helpful, unfortunately there is no way to find out what your password is because we do not store that data with basic login. If your progress is displayed on your phone, you could create a new account and Cloud Save what you see on your phone to your new account. Alternatively you may upgrade to a one-time in-app purchase for premium cloud saving which has password recovery.
We run ads to cover the cost of hosting a website to store everyone's cloud data and do social media giveaways. Static ads are placed in the least distracing areas to not interrupt study time. All video ads are opt-in. You can get rid of forced ads with a one-time in-app purchase.
Please go to Settings and enable draggable items.
Yes, an internet connection is now required in order for certain features in the app to run smoothly, including cloud saving and links within the app, like to YouTube music and our help pages. You can use the app without internet with a one-time in-app purchase.
The in-app purchases are as follows:
If neither the above FAQ nor the tutorial at www.superbyte.site/tutorial did not address your question, please email studybunnyapp@gmail.com. We welcome all suggestions to improve the app.
